About ESA
Evolving Sports Athletes(ESA) is a recruiting platform that helps to connect International Students Athletes to sport and academic opportunities in Canada.
Mission
ESA helps student-athletes go to universities that align their sports and education goals with potential careers. We connect students interested in developing their talent to Canadian universities, by also helping them secure partial sports and academic scholarships.
Founder:
Benedict Makwarimba. A Zimbabwean former student-athlete in Canada. He was awarded scholarships to be on the track and rugby team at Trinity Western University in Langley British Columbia.
Main Goal:
The aim of ESA is to build a bridge between universities in Canada and international student-athletes in different sporting fields and to match them to the right academic program.
Services include:
Assisting students with forming their sports portfolios
Sending video footage to coaches for athletes
Assistance with getting a study permit and student visa
Regular meetings with students to check their application progress
Advice on being a student athlete and the experience in Canada
